Ensuring children's independence with activities of daily living

Pediatric occupational therapists help children who struggle with skills in the areas of fine motor, visual motor, social-emotional regulation, self-organization, and self-care routines. Our occupational therapists conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify areas of weakness within these domains and develop individualized treatment plans to promote functional outcomes. At Skyline, our occupational therapists help children who struggle with many skills, including but not limited to: ​

  • hand-eye coordination

  • bilateral coordination 

  • visual motor skills

  • using tools of everyday living (writing utensils, toys, cutlery, etc.)

  • social-emotional regulation

  • somatosensory processing

  • body awareness

  • motor planning

  • hand strength
